General
Improvers’ Events
Many thanks to those who supported our annual schedule of events for Improvers by attending Ian Adamson’s presentation on Friday. Players were overwhelmingly of the opinion that Ian gave us a very informative and thought-provoking session and most stated that they had learned something from the afternoon. Our expert Helpers rounded everything off by giving very helpful clarification of the problems arising from the set hands. It was suggested on Friday that pre-entry for future Improvers’ Classes might be necessary due to declining numbers; in view of the excellent turn-out on Friday pre-entry will not be required and your continued support is anticipated. The future Improvers’ Classes for this year are:
2 December 2016 – Sandy Anderson – Tactical Play at Aggregate & Match Point
3 February 2017 – Maureen Rennie – Essential Laws & Ethics for the Club Player
7 April 2017 – Sam Malkani – Cue Bidding
Specifically for Improvers and Bronze players:
Sunday 6 November 2016 – Jesner/Johnston Simultaneous Pairs
