  • All students receive an A5 bridge manual in which they add pages as they progress.
  • Test yourself homework quizzes (A4) with answers are supplied most weeks.
  • The 2nd, 3rd and 5th year classes also receive by email the full lesson text and a printout of all the prepared hands used in class. (Eventually all class will receive this).
  • The class format consists of a 30 minute spoken lesson, 30/45 minutes of prepared hands on the topic of the day, a 15 minute tea break, the last hour is random computer dealt hands.  All my class play the same random hands so you can compare your result with all my other students.
  • On each random hand, the bidding and card play are recorded to enable me to comment on bidding and card play of every hand played at every table, which is a great way to learn.
  • Students can also see the computer analysis of every possible contract on the random hands.
  • Although the classes are very high tech, the atmosphere is very relaxed and there is lots of laughter.
  • Partners are randomly drawn at every class, so in a few weeks you will have got to know everyone in your class.  As well as learning bridge it’s a great way to make friends.

Fees to be paid at the first class, please make cheques payable to Ian Dalziel.
